2007 Yakima Valley Viognier

2007 STEVENSDIVIO

Once again, the fruit for the StevensDivio Viognier was sourced from Dineen Vineyard in Zillah, one of our favorites. The grapes made our toes tickle and put a smile on our face right off the bat. The flavors at harvest were ideal, not to mention the numbers from the lab. Produced exclusively in stainless steel, this year’s vintage has a classic dried apricot/honey nose and a taste that leans a little heavier on the mineral side. We only produced 118 cases from this small 2 acre block so it’s sure to go as fast as last year (2 weeks, crazy). Price $22.00.

90 Points- Wine Advocate, June 2008
The 2007 Viognier Divio was sourced from the Yakima Valley's Dineen Vineyard and raised in stainless steel. Medium straw-colored, it offers up an attractive bouquet of ineral, peach, and apricot. On the palate it has excellent concentration and depth, ripe flavors, and lively acidity. Drink this lengthy Viognier over the next 1-2 years.

91 Points- Wine Enthusiast, November 2008
Dineen Vineyard grapes are the star here. All stainless fermentation yields a crystalline, transparent, graceful wine with subtle notes of lime, pineapple and dried apricot. It's bone dry, but the whiff of honeysuckle in the nose adds appealing sweetness to the finish.
